Network Management

with the PageStation GP335, as it brings a complete document management
solution to your network. The powerful X3e printer controller and the
versatile Canon NetSpot network management software, reside at its heart,
enabling the GP335 to be controlled and monitored remotely from the user's
desk providing the ability to view all current jobs on their PC screens
(if using IPX). You can save yourself time and effort by programming the
machine to give precedence to printing jobs, copying, or faxing, ensuring
that the workflow of your business runs smoothly. The network
administrator can determine the level of access and control available to
system users, thus prioritising the needs of individuals and departments
across the network.
Impressive Printing
The GP335 accommodates Continuous
Printing Technology which prevents the print engine from cycling down thus
increasing throughput and reducing system down time. Single page
processing is a thing of the past, as the GP335 can process whole
documents at the same time as others are being printed using
'RIP-while-print' technology. Furthermore, the X3e has its own 2.1GB hard
drive which allows multiple users to communicate with the printer
simultaneously, and reduces network traffic. Using a web browser and
integral Fiery Webtools, network users can reprint jobs and retrieve
printer status information via the Internet or company intranet.
Creativity made Easy
Image manipulation is something that
the PageStation GP335 performs with little effort whilst making the
maximum impression. The Useful Image Quality mode allows you to adjust the
output quality for different types of text and photographic originals, and
you can adjust the size of images to fit different page sizes. It is
possible to shift images to different positions; enlarge and reduce images
using the 25 - 800% zoom; erase book binding shadows, frame lines and
punched holes; combine up to sixteen reduced size images on a single page;
make separate copies from the facing pages of a book; overlay one image
over another; you can even change positives to negatives (and vice versa).
The only limit is your imagination!!
Faxing
and Scanning
You
can turn the PageStation GP335 into an advanced plain paper fax machine
through the installation of an optional fax card. Images can be broadcast
simultaneously to multiple destinations, transmitted at up to 400dpi
resolution. When scanned via the optional Document Feeder, each page is
stamped to verify that it has been transmitted.
Using the optional AXIS network scan server, and GP335, documents are
converted into electronic format prior to distribution across workgroups,
the enterprise, or the World Wide Web. At the touch of a button users can
effortlessly scan documents, photographs, and reports before distributing
them anywhere - from individuals to distribution lists, across the office
or around the world.
Finish
in Style
Advanced
finishing capabilities are not normally a feature of network laser
printers but we decided it should be the norm. Canon have eliminated the
need for multiple sorting bins with the PageStation GP335's electronic
sorting function. Instead of delivering documents one page at a time, the
GP335 outputs complete document sets, each one offset from the next for
easy retrieval from an output tray. Single-sided or double-sided originals
can be copied so that they can easily be made into booklets. The
PageStation GP335 automatically calculates the pagination so that the
images are output in the correct order ready for folding. By fitting the
optional Saddle Finisher with Saddle-Stitch stapling, the machine will
automatically fold them and staple the spines, outputting them in a
specially designated tray.
