Canon technology delivers the productivity, control and functionality
required in the most demanding business environments. The high quality
hardware of the PageStation GP605 is complemented by Canon's versatile X6e
Printer Controller which facilitates complete document processing over
your computer network. The X6e Controller is supplied with an Ethernet
network interface as standard, and there is also the option of an
interface for Token Ring networks. Furthermore, Canon's unique NetSpot
network management software enables the PageStation GP605 to be managed
and monitored remotely from the desktop of your network administrator.
Printing
Power
The
PageStation GP605 makes light work of all your document printing and
enhances print productivity using versatile and easy to use printer driver
software through the Canon X6e Printer Controller. Instead of processing
single pages individually, the PageStation GP605 handles whole documents
which are processed at the same time as others are printing using 'RIP
while print technology'. To save even more time, the Printer Controller
has its own 4.2 GB hard drive. Files can be saved where necessary for
repeat printing, thus reducing network traffic. The desktop printing
capabilities of individual users can be expanded using the system's
integral Fiery Webtools.

Imagery
The
PageStation GP605's versatile editing features and 25%-400% zoom facility
allow you to manipulate images in practically any way you choose. Combine
up to sixteen reduced size images on a single A4 sheet; separate images
and enlarge them; make two separate copies from the facing pages of a
book; rotate or shift images on a page; erase book binding shadows and
frame lines; change images from negative to positive (and vice versa);
make copies lighter or darker . . . the possibilities are almost endless.
The
Finishing Touch
The
PageStation GP605's Scan Once, Print Many technology allows complete
documents to be produced and collated automatically, without the need for
multiple output bins. Finished document sets are output one at a time,
off-set from each other for easy retrieval from the GP605's 2000 sheet
sort tray. You can program the PageStation GP605 to add up to 20 insertion
sheets of transparent film. Single-sided or double sided originals can be
copied in such a way that they can easily be made into booklets. These are
functions that are beyond the scope of any ordinary network laser printer,
so let the PageStation GP605 do the thinking for you.

and Responsible
A
Paper Supply Indicator will forewarn you when the paper decks and
cassettes need refilling, so you need never run out unexpectedly during a
lengthy production job. You can minimise power consumption programming the
GP605's Energy Saver Mode to shut down at pre set times. There is even a
password controlled Departmental ID Management feature which will show you
exactly how many copies individual work groups have produced.
